Links are a pain in the ass. extremley important for the seo process and yet so annoying to get. 

the best kind of links are inbound links. (Inbound links are the kind of links that are one-way. they are inbound to the website targeted in the link and outbound to the website that has the link on it.)

the more inbound links you have for a keyword, the better you rank for it , however there are many more parameters to this factor,as some links are better than others.

Here are some parameters for good links:

1.links that are not from pages that are blocked from search engines by using the ‘robots.txt’ exclude Method or by using the nofollow tag.

2.links that have good orderly anchor text with the keyword inside it.

3.links that are not from pages that have been penalized by google.

4.links that come from pages with lotsof/good backlinks.

5.links that come from a domain with lotsof/good backlinks.

6.links that come from pages that dont have lots of other outbound links.

7.links that come from older domains
